Pesticide --> DFG S19

The designation DFG S19 describes a chemically analytical examination method which has developed into a standard. It has been included in the §35 collection of methods of the Foodstuffs and Commodities Act under the number L 00.00-34.
This chemically analytical examination method permits the proof of more than 270 pesticides in vegetable foodstuffs. Due to the large number of compounds to be proven, it is also called a multi-method.

But all over the world, there are more than 700 pesticides in use. DFG S19 is therefore only the basis of pesticide residue control. Important substance groups such as the urea herbicides and the carbamates as well as the phenoxy-carbonic acid herbicides demand the use of other specialised methods.

The list of the substances proven with the DFG S19 method is an integral part of any quotations and analysis reports. Here, it is shown whether the examination laboratory also tests for all the 270 substances and which determination thresholds it guarantees the client.

The determination thresholds should ideally amount to half the statutory stipulation of the maximum amount at the most.
